The poor performance of Nigeria’s D’Tigers at the ongoing 2025 Afrobasket qualifier in Tunisia continued as they suffered another defeat to Uganda on Saturday afternoon.
The hurriedly put-together Nigerian side arrived in Monastir Tunisia on Friday and played their first game a few hours after their arrival.
The first group game ended in defeat against Libya and they shifted their attention to the second game against Uganda.
But the efforts they put in was not enough as they started the game against Cranes on a poor note.
The Ugandans dominated the game and won the first quarter 12-7 and by halftime they extended their lead to 27-17.
Uganda wrapped up the game in the 3rd and final quarter to edge D’Tigers by 2-62 points.
Nigeria will face Cape Verde in the final game on Sunday.
