Ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier, the interim management of the Zimbabwe Football Association has appointed a new manager for the Warriors.
Football in Zimbabwe has been under suspension in the last 18 months due to government interference.
Their suspension was lifted in July after its March 2022 expulsion, and the soccer federation has been under the governance of a temporary committee.
The interim committee on Wednesday evening announced Baltemar Brito as the new head coach of the national team.
Brito who garnered his experience working as an assistant to some top European coaches, is saddled with the responsibility of tinkering the team for the qualifier.
Zimbabwe will host Nigeria’s Super Eagles on Match day 2 of the qualifier.
