With the matchday 13 fixture against Vandrezzer FC of Lagos done and dusted, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, have immediately shifted their focus to the next match, with the maximum points as their target.

That was the submission of the Chief Coach of the Oluyole Warriors, Edith Olumide Agoye, while fielding questions from journalists after last Sunday’s 1-0 win over Vandrezzer in Lagos.

The Ibadan soccer lords maintained their good run in the season, scoring late at the Soccer Temple, Agege, to confirm their superiority over the Lions but Agoye remarked; “The game against Vandrezzer is gone, we now look forward to the next match against Nnewi United.”

The Group B1 table toppers, will welcome Nnewi United to the Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, for a matchday 14 contest of the Nigeria National League (NNL).

“We are taking it one game at a time. Today, we are happy that we have the result we wanted against Vandrezzer, now our next target is to pick the three points at home against Nnewi United on Sunday,” said the ex international.

Asked how he felt picking all six points against Vandrezzer, the former Ila FC and Gateway United sweat merchant, expressed hapoiness with the feat, considering the fact that Vandrezzer were at the beginning of the season, one of the main teams contesting for the top spot with his team.

Agoye commended his players for the doggedness they displayed in overcoming Vandrezzer in a game he described as tough, saluting the players for shrugging off the disappointment of the home draw against Ekiti United to return to winning ways.
The team returned from Lagos on Sunday afternoon and resumed training on Monday preparatory to Sunday’s pairing against Nnewi United.
