With less than 3 weeks to the completion of the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, one of the stadiums has been turned into a wedding ceremony ground.
The 34th edition of the competition ended on the 11th of February 2024 with the host Ivory Coast winning the trophy.
One of the stadiums that hosted the semi-finals, Felix Houphouët Boigny was used as a reception for a wedding last weekend.
Particularly, the stadium hosted the epic semi-final match between Nigeria’s Super Eagles and the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
The incident served as a big surprise to football followers across the continent believing that the facilities used for the tournament would be properly preserved and maintained for future events.
