The president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Patrice Motsepe and General Secretary Omba Veron Mosengo are to arrive in Conakry capital of Guinea on Friday.
The reason for their visit is basically on the level of their readiness for the 2025 African Cup of Nations. The situation of Guinea staging the biennial competition is yet to be clear following the slow pace of their preparations.
The duo will meet Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya, Head of State, but also the Guinean Football Federation (FEGUIFOOT) and the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr Bernard Goumou.
At the end of August, this year, a CAF delegation had made a reassuring first visit but, in the process, information leaked attesting that the football body have withdrawn the organization of the AFCON from the country.
