Super Eagles goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye, has said that he’s thinking about three points against Sudan, as anything less than that will not be appreciated.
He adds that he’s also not thinking about clean sheet but victory when Super face Sudan today. Okoye recorded clean clean sheet on his debut in the tournament when Super Eagles beat Egypt 1-0 on Tuesday.
The three-time champions will face the Sudanese in the second Group game this Saturday and Okoye is expected to be in goal for the game.
“First of all, i’m looking forward to three points and then clean sheet is always good. It’s a sign of good defending and competitive team, yes we will be good,”Okoye told NFF TV ahead of today’s game.
“It was good performance against Egypt. I think we competed well, it was a collective performance. We need to stick to this level and we can beat anybody”.
“We have set a high bar and we need to stick to it. We need to keep working hard and avoid distraction.” He said. Nigeria is leading the Group with three points, while Sudan is third with one point.
