Nigeria’s U20 Women’s team Falconets started their campaign in the 2023 African Games on a good note with an emphatic 2-0 win over Morocco.
The victory of the Falconets was a big relief for Team Nigeria after the Flying Eagles and the Table tennis team suffered a massive defeat.
The Nigerian side dominated the game and their dominance led to Moroccan defender Fatima Bambara scoring an own early in the game.
Yina Adoo made the game safe for Nigeria just before the half with the second goal.
The North African country pressed hard to come back in the second half but the Nigeria backline was able to see out the game in favour of Nigeria.
