After getting clearance and confirmation from the Confederation of African Football, Al Hilal and Al Merriekh will play in the Mauritania League.
The league in Sudan has been on hold for the past few months due to the political unrest in the country. The management of both clubs earlier in the year approached the African soccer governing body and Mauritania Football Association for the team to be competitive. The league body in Mauritania on Wednesday approved the participation of both clubs in the upcoming league. Both clubs are also playing in the Inter-Club competitions.
