• Praises NFF, Aisha Falode
The President of Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club, ANFASSC, Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi has described the Aisha Buhari Cup as a good omen for female football in Nigeria.
Prince Ogunjimi who was full of praises for the Super Falcons for their spirited performance in their opening day 2-0 win against Mali said the tournament will afford the Nigerian female National team another opportunity to feel a tournament atmosphere and get them ready for future engagements.
With the bigwigs the tournament has attracted, the ANFASSC supremo believes it could pave way for a proper roadmap for women football in Nigeria .
He showered praises on the Nigeria Football Federation and also extolled Mrs. Aisha Falode for the role she has played in consistently giving a facelift to women football in the country.
He said “Without thinking twice, the Aisha Buhari Cup is a success already and it has come to stay, kudos to the Amaju Pinnick led Nigeria Football Federation for adding value to female football”.
“Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi who has being at the forefront of things at the Aisha Buhari Cup has also done extremely well, the leadership of the NFF is filled with intellectual gladiators who are passionate about moving the game forward”.
“Madam Aisha Falode should also be celebrated everyday, she’s known for recording successes and her role in rebranding female football cannot be over emphasized.
Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi assured that the Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club, ANFASSC will in no small measure continue to support the Nigerian National teams.
