Nigeria-born Arsenal defender Cam’ron Ismail has joined up with the Egypt u19s, amid a three-way battle for his international future.

The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) confirmed Ismail’s arrival to Egypt’s U-19 national football team current training camp.

It is first-ever call-up for Ismail after he opted to represent Egypt despite of having both Nigerian and English nationalities also.

The defender recently confirmed to Arsenal.com that his mother is Egyptian and his father is Nigerian, giving him two more options for his international future.

However, having been born and raised in Islington, Ismail is obviously eligible to play for England.

The 16-year-old Ismail joined the Gunners’ youth team a year ago before officially joining the club’s U-18 team last July.

Ismail has made six appearances with Arsenal’s team in the U-18 Premier League this season.

Meanwhile, the current preparatory camp of the Egyptian national team in Ismailia, which will run until 20 October, is the first for the young Pharaohs under the guidance of new coach Wael Riad who took charge earlier in October.
