The president of Italian Serie A club Atalanta, Antonio Percassi, has expressed the club’s desire to retain Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman, but emphasized that they won’t force him to stay if he wishes to leave.

Lookman has been in excellent form this season, scoring 14 goals and providing 7 assists in 26 appearances across all competitions.

Despite rumours linking him to a summer move to PSG, he stayed at Atalanta, where his contract runs until June 2026.

“We’ll do everything we can to keep him, but he mustn’t stay against his will,” Percassi stated.
“After all, we’ve already replaced players like Zapata, Muriel, and Gomez.”
Teun Koopmeiners, the last key player to leave Bergamo, has struggled in his first season at Juventus.
