Atletico Madrid are reportedly closing in on a move for out of favour Barcelona star Memphis Depay after agreeing personal terms with the Holland forward.
Depay has fallen well down the pecking order at the Nou Camp, playing just four times this term and scoring one LaLiga goal across the 206 minutes he has featured in all competitions.
Now according to Mundo Deportivo, Depay could be set for a January switch to Atletico after the Dutch international and Diego Simeone’s side agreed terms on a deal thought to extend to the summer of 2025.

However the report also adds that Barca will be reluctant to let Depay leave on a free transfer, and that despite him being out of favour they still want to negotiate a fee for him.
Depay currently has six months left of his Nou Camp deal before he is free to negotiate a move anywhere in the summer.
Barca though are keen to test the resolve of their Spanish league rivals by demanding Yannick Carrasco in return.
Carrasco’s situation is thought to be complicated at the Metropolitano, with the club unwilling to allow a key player leave.
Yet Carrasco is unhappy over the club reportedly changing terms over a future contract offer initially not proposed to him.
The Belgian remains under contract at Atletico until 2024.
Another player who could be set for a Barcelona exit includes Raphinha, with the Brazilian international already struggling to seal a first-team spot having only just joined from Leeds United in the summer.
However, once more the club are unwilling to let him go easily, slapping a £100m transfer fee on the forward who has attracted interest from Arsenal.
