After having a turbulent campaign this season, newly promoted side Nottingham Forest will have another opportunity to campaign in the Premier League next season.
Their stay was confirmed on Saturday evening after they secured a narrow 1-0 win over Arsenal with Nigeria’s Super Eagles forward Taiwo Awoniyi playing an important role.
Awoniyi has been the saviour for the club in the past 3 games scoring in back-to-back matches.
Despite playing as a second fiddle to the visiting Arsenal throughout the game, it was Nottingham Forest that scored in the 19th minute through the Nigeria international.
Awoniyi posed a constant threat to the backline of Arsenal until he was replaced in the 79th minute but his only strike was enough to earn the host a maximum point.
