German Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen has confirmed that injured striker Victor Boniface will be out of action for three months.
The young attacker sustained a groin injury while in the Super Eagles camp for the African Cup of Nations in the United Arab Emirates.
The club released a statement on Tuesday to give an update about the Nigerian International.
“Victor Boniface suffered a muscle-tendon injury in the right adductor area during the Nigerian training camp in Dubai,” the club stated.
The striker will undergo surgery in the coming days and is expected to be out of action until early April.
“We wish you a speedy recovery”, the club said.
Leverkusen will surely miss the service of the skilful forward as his goals as propelled the club this season
