Xabi Alonso, the manager of the German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen has sound notes of warnings to the defenders in the league to be wary of the threat that Nigeria forward Victor Boniface will pose for them.
The Nigeria International made all the headlines last weekend when he netted a brace in the league game against Borussia Monchengladbach to ensure a 0-3 away win.
Alonso said Boniface has all the attributes of a good striker and will be a big problem for the defenders in the league.
” Victor’s a real problem for opposition defenses. He’s powerful, quick, and makes runs from deep. He has a good mentality and works for the team, not for himself,” Alonso said.
Boniface joined the German side this summer after having a successful season with the Belgian Jupiler side Union St Gillaloise for €20 million.
