Nigeria track sensation, Tobiloba Amusan, is on the verge of setting history in the World Athletics championship currently going on in Budapest Hungary.
The US-based Nigeria athlete reached the semi-final of the competition on Tuesday after she won her heat.
The semi-final of the women’s 100 meters was held on Wednesday evening and Amusan was the cynosure of all eyes once again.
Running in Heat 2, Amusan started slowly and allowed Ackera Nuggent to take early but she pumped up the volume towards the end of the race to come out top with a time of 12.56.
Amusan won the gold medal in the event last year in Oregon and she is on the verge of retaining her title as she has qualified for the final.
