Incumbent president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Patrice Motsepe is set to retain his position as the head of the body.

The CEO of the Mamelodi Sundown in 2021 emerged as the president of the body after he succeeded Ahmad Ahmad.

Ahead of the March 2025 election, each regional body over the weekend through Monday had their meetings, and they all endorsed Motsepe to run for a second term.

Only UNAF, which consists of North African countries decided against his return.

Other regions like, Cecafa, WAFU A and B, COSAFA and UNIFFAC all backed the South African business mogul.
