It was a total blackout for Nigeria in the upcoming 2023 Championship of African Nations as the Confederation of African Football( CAF) released the lists of the match officials for the competition.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles B crashed out of the tournament after they lost to the Black Galaxies of Ghana in the final qualifier.
Nigeria’s referee Peter Ogabor was among the officials earlier invited for trials ahead of the competition coming up in Algeria.
The football body announced the list of selected officials on Wednesday afternoon the name of the Nigerian official was missing.
The list included 19 centre referees, 19 assistant referees, 1 Woman referee, 2 women assistant referees and 12 Video Assistant Referees.
