Barely 10 days to the start of the 2022 U20 FIFA Women World Cup in Costa Rica, Canada’s coach Cindy Tye has said they can’t wait to get started and she has also named the final list of players for the competition. The gaffer said it’s an opportunity to expose the players.
“We know that the experience of competing and being exposed to different styles of play is critical for our young player’s development.
“It will be a great opportunity for this age group to be tested on the international stage and we can’t wait to get started,” she said.
Canada will play Korea in the opening group C game and face France in the second match before trading tackles with Nigeria’s Falconets in the last match.
Meanwhile, the coach has also announced the final list of 21 players that will represent the country in the biennial competition.
