Edo 2020: Akeredolu Charges Team Ondo To Compete Fairly

Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has urged state athletes and officials to compete fairly and stay within the rules of the competition so as not to be disqualified.

Akeredolu, ably represented by his Deputy, Hon. lucky Ayedatiwa stated this when he paid a courtesy visit to the state contingent at the ongoing 20th National Sports Festival in Benin City, Edo State on Tuesday.

The governor described the sports festival as an avenue to bring love and unity among the states, adding that sportsmen and women were not lazy, but very hard working.

He expressed his satisfaction on the performances of the state contingent and encouraged them to put in their best in sports. “You have to compete fairly and stay within the rules of the competition as not to be disqualified at the festival.”

In response, General Manager, Ondo State Sports Council (OSSC), Mr Henry Babatunde thanked the governor and deputy governor for the total support received so far in this present government.
