While the 2023 edition of the African Games is still ongoing in Accra, Ghana, the Council of African Sports and Culture has announced Cairo, Egypt as the host for the 2027 edition of the games.
The decision was endorsed during the meeting held this Saturday in parallel with the African Games organized in Ghana.
The African Games are the largest sports forum in Africa and are held every four years under the supervision of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa.
The last time Egypt hosted the games was in 1991.
