Despite failing to progress beyond the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup, Nigerian side Enyimba International is set to receive a substantial financial reward from the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The People’s Elephant were grouped alongside Zamalek, Al Masry, and Black Bulls, but were unable to secure a spot in the knockout phase, with both Egyptian clubs advancing instead.
CAF announced on Thursday that Enyimba, along with other clubs eliminated in the group stage, will each receive a payout of $400,000. Other teams set to benefit from this financial reward include Bravos do Maquis, CS Sfaxien, CD Lunda Sul, Stade Malien, Jaraaf, Orapa United, and Black Bulls.
