The European football governing body has announced the list of goals nominated for the Europa League goal of the group stage.
The superb strike of Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface featured prominently on the list.
The Nigeria International has scored 4 goals in the competition this season but the goal he scored against Qarabag of Azerbaijan in the 5-1 victory was picked.
He contested for the award alongside West Ham United’s Lucas Paqueta, Olympic Marseille’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Magnus Wolff Elkrem, Thanjis Dallinga of Toulouse, Villarreal’s Santi Comesana, AEK Athens’ Djibril Sidibe, Rennes duo, Lorenz Assignons and Ludovic Blas.
