In the 48th minute, the former Napoli ace thought he had given Galatasaray the lead in Istanbul – with the final touch coming off PAOK and Ghana Black Stars defender Abdul Rahman Baba, for an own-goal.

Osimhen, then provided as assist for Yunua Akgun to score for 2-1 in the 75th minute. The Nigerian told Galatasaray TV: “Unfortunately, my goal was counted as an own-goal again. My goal will also come.

“The important thing is Galatasaray’s win. I want to thank the fans as they are always with us.” On his new teammates, “I have a very good relationship with Icardi and Batshuayi. We saw Icardi very experienced today he came in and finished the match. He is also a leader.

He is a leader in training. Batshuayi is also a very good character. All my teammates are the same. I am very happy to be here.”
