Nigeria’s U20 girls have qualified for the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women World Cup i Colombia after bearing Burundi 2-0 on aggregate.
Esther Ajakaiye scored the only goal of the game in the 78th minute in Saturday’s FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup final qualifying run-out against their counterparts from Burundi, at the MKO Abiola National Stadium.
Recall that forward, Janet Akekoromowei netted the only goal of the first leg encounter from the penalty spot.
The Falconets advanced to this year’s FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup finals, which will be staged in Colombia, 31st August – 22nd September.
The U-20 Nigeria Girl’s have featured at the World Cup in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2022, and 2024.
