Nigeria’s senior men’s basketball team D’Tigers continued their impressive performance in the final window of the 2023 FIBA World Cup qualifier with another win in Luanda.

The Nigerian side largely dominated by home-based players earlier on Friday defeated the much-established Ivory Coast.

They started their second game on Saturday against Guinea on a shaky note drawing the opening quarter 13-13.

They seized control of the game in the second quarter and claimed a 28-23 win.

Guinea played better in the 3rd quarter and claimed the win 48-39 but D’Tigers proved to be the better side by winning the final quarter 62-59.

The result means that Nigeria won the game and their hope of qualifying for the World Cup is very alive.
