Falconets coach Chris Danjuma has opened up on why one of the team’s reliable performers Deborah Abiodun was left out against South Korea.
Rivers United Abiodun played a key role in the team’s opening game against France but was missing in the win against South Korea on Sunday.
The team coach said her omission was purely based on tactics and game plans.
“We came to the World Cup and everybody is as good to go and again the team selection is based on the opponent.
“There was something we needed in the middle, we have two attacking midfielders Deborah and Esther we needed somebody that will hold our midfield and that was the tactics,” he stated.
Deborah is likely to return to the team’s final group match against Canada on Thursday.
