Nigeria U20 national team, Flying Eagles may face Uruguay, Ecuador or Honduras in the Round of 16 of the ongoing FIFA U20 World Cup in Argentina.

Flying Eagles won their first two group D games against Dominican Republic (2-1) and Italy (2-0) to seal their Round of 16 ticket but must avoid losing to Brazil in their last group game so as not to finish third if Italy beat Dominican Republic.

Nigeria will now have to finish as winners with either a win or draw in Group D final first round game against Brazil Saturday.

A draw or a win this weekend will win the group for the Flying Eagles, while a loss to the Samba Stars will see them finish as runners-up. However Nigeria must avoid heavy defeat not to fall to third if Italy beat Dominican Republic with high margin.

As group winners, they will square up against the third best losers in Group B (currently Ecuador), Group E (currently Tunisia) or Group F (currently Honduras).

Should they finish as runners-up in Group D, they will tackle the winners of Group E, who are currently Uruguay.

Uruguay eliminated Nigeria in a Round of 16 of this tournament in 2013 in Turkey.

Both Round of 16 matches will be played on Wednesday, May 31 in La Plata.
