Former Napoli defender, Kim Min-Jae has opened up on his relationship with his ex-teammate Victor Osimhen, stating he will not like him as an opposition due to his astute attacking abilities.

The 26-year-old South Korean international recently completed a €50 million move from the Serie A to join German giants Bayern Munich after clinching the Best Serie A Defender award while scooping the Scudetto alongside.

Speaking to Napoli Magazine, Kim spoke about his feelings regarding his former teammate, Victor Osimhen who was also a menace at the other end of the pitch, bagging the Capocannoniere as well as the League title.

“Osimhen? I would never want to see him on the opposing team,” he shared.

“He’s good, he manages to be ‘overbearing’ with the defenders.

“Even if the defender is far away, he chases and harasses him to the end.

“Normally, the opposite happens…”

Despite completing the move and getting unveiled by the Bavarians, Head Coach Thomas Tuchel has hinted that the newly acquired defender will need some time to settle before featuring with the squad.

“We are pleased that he’s chosen us and hope that he will quickly find his feet and continue his development with us,” Tuchel told iMiaSanMia.

“But tomorrow’s game is still too early for him, he most likely won’t play.”

In response to the Coach’s remarks, Kim embraced the verdict but hinted he is ready to “improve” his physical condition quickly, and “would like to be able to play”, depending on when the opportunity avails itself
