Former Nigeria’s Super Eagles coach Bora Milutinovic has declared his readiness to come out of retirement and handle a team at the 2026 World Cup.

The Serbian tactician led the Super Eagles to the 1998 World Cup in France where they crashed out in the second round to Denmark.

The 79-year-old told FIFA that he is far from being retired from the game and is ready to stage a comeback.

“Football is my passion, and I follow as many tournaments at any level as I can, whether professional, amateur or age category.

Coaching is in my blood; I will never understand why people are so obsessed with age, as I realize it is just a number.

” I’m always aware of what is going on in the World of football, so if someone has a goal in mind for their team, I’m ready.

” It would be wonderful to participate in that World Cup ( 2026), as I was privileged to coach at 5 consecutive editions.

” It’s been something wonderful “, he said. Apart from Nigeria, Bora has also handled Mexico ( 1986), Costa Rica ( 1990), USA ( 1994) and China PR ( 2002).
