It’s looking increasingly likely that Super Eagles forward Gift Orban will not stay with former French Ligue One champion Olympique Lyon beyond January.

Orban joined Lyon this summer but he has been unable to stamp his authority in the team and also has some disciplinary issues.

RC Lens and Hoffenheim of Germany on Monday tabled offers for the young striker, but Lyon rejected the offers because it’s below their valuation of the player.

Lyon has insisted on getting nothing less than €12 million for Orban.

The 22-year-old player is under contract until June 2028 and he has not been in the squad for weeks and has also not played in Ligue 1 for three months.

Lyon is actively looking for an exit for him this winter and the solution could come from Lens or Hoffenheim.
