The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria have been drawn in Group B of the WAFU B U17 Championship, taking place in Ghana.

The countries in Group B include; Burkina Faso, Togo and Niger.

The Golden Eaglets have resumed camping and preparation for next month’s WAFU B U17 Championship in Ghana.

In Group A, hosts, Ghana will slug it out with Benin Republic and Cote D’Ivoire.

According to multiple reports, a poll of over 50 players from various Youth Tournaments have been invited to camp for screening led by coach, Manu Garba.

It was further learnt that most of the invited players have already done the mandatory MRI age test and are therefore eligible to feature at the WAFU B U17 AFCON qualifiers in Ghana from May 15.

Coach Manu was assisted by the team co-ordinator for the two training sessions on the first day of training camp Thursday.

It is expected that the newly constituted backroom staff will also soon be in place.

Nigeria are the defending WAFU B U17 champions after they beat Burkina Faso in the championship game in Cape Coast, Ghana, two years ago.
