Former Nigeria Football Federation President, Amaju Pinnick has said that he is not desperate and doesn’t need anybody’s support to retain his seat as Member of FIFA Council.
The former two-time NFF President in a letter dated 18th April, 2024 to the Minister of Foreign Affair, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama seeking his personal and Federal Government support to retain his seat at FIFA.
Despite his willingness to retain the seat, the former CAF First Vice President said he is not desperate about it and doesn’t need anybody’s support to successfully win the election.
Speaking with The Guardian on phone, Pinnick said: “I am not desperate to return to FIFA Council and I don’t need the support of anyone to win.”
The FIFA Council Member election is slated for 31st May, 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand.
