As the 2023/2024 English Championship season gradually closes down, Nigeria’s Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho has turned down a contract extension with Leicester City.
Despite numerous suitors, the Nigerian International decided to stay with the Foxes after they suffered relegation at the end of last season.
Several Premier League clubs have approached Iheanacho whose contract would run down at the end of the ongoing season.
The Foxes in the past days placed a new deal worth £65,000 in front of the left-footed attacker but he turned down the offer.
According to the football insider, the club has placed a new offer in front of him but he has refused to sign.
” He ( Iheanacho) has been offered a new deal but he’s not prepared to sign.
But we will wait until the end of the season and see”, the reports said
Iheanacho has been in and out of the team this season and he has scored 5 goals and one assist so far.
