Swedish coach Janne Andersson has confirmed that he’s in discussion with the Nigeria Football Federation over the vacant Super Eagles post.
Super Eagles have been without a manager in the past few months following the resignation of Finidi George as the head coach. The Swedish gaffer is among the frontrunners for the vacant position. While speaking to the Sweden news outlet Expressen, the coach confirmed the discussion but insisted that nothing had been agreed upon yet.
” I can confirm that I have had a dialogue with the Nigeria Football Federation. “It’s a huge footballing nation so I’m extremely flattered to be in the running to be their next national team captain.
“Dialogue is ongoing and I don’t really want to say more than that.
“I have been in this industry for so long and know that things can happen in different ways. So we’ll see what happens in the future”, he said.
