As the English Premier League side Leicester City continues its fight to remain in the elite division, their survival hope received good news on Friday as one of their attackers Kelechi Iheanacho is set to resume training next week.
The Nigeria international sustained a muscle injury during their league game against Leeds United and his absence has had a huge impact on the team.
The team boss Dean Smith gave an update on his recovery on Friday as they prepared to face Liverpool this weekend.
“Hopefully he’s due to training earlier next week rather than later. We thought he’d only have a build-up of two days before the Newcastle game, but he’s ahead of schedule, which is pleasing for us”, he said.
The Foxes are languishing in the relegation zone after suffering a surprising 5-3 defeat to Fulham last week.
