When the United States women’s national team face Nigeria Super Falcons it will be without their star midfielder Kelly O’Hara.
The skilful midfielder was part of the 23-man squad that was released by the team manager for the double-header against Nigeria.
According to the report coming from the team’s camp, O’Hara has sustained a reoccurrence of a hip injury. The report suggests that a replacement in the person of Hailie Mace has been called up to take her position.
“Hailie Mace will replace Kelley O’Hara on the USWNT roster for the upcoming friendlies against Nigeria.
“O’Hara was ruled out of camp due to a lingering hip injury,” the statement said.
The games are slated for Kansas City and Washington, D.C. in September.
