Italian veteran striker Mario Balotelli has praised Super Eagles and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen over his heroics performance for his team enroute their Scudetto triumph.
Osimhen become African highest scoring player in a single season on Thursday with 23 goals beating the record of Samuel Eto’o who had scored 22 goals with Inter Milan. Osimhen’s goal on Thursday against Udinese sealed the title for Napoli to end their 23 years trophy drought.
Osimhen etched his name in the sands of time and in the hearts of Naples fans after scoring a title-winning equaliser during their 1-1 draw away to Udinese on Thursday evening. That goal ended Napoli’s 33-year wait for a Seria A title and it also made Victor the highest scoring African player in the league.
While on an Instagram live with his mentor Mario Balotelli, Osimhen said he doesn’t know how to feel about his recent achievement. Balotelli told him that he’ll never understand what he did untill the next 10 years. “You still don’t know what you did,” he said.
