English Championship club Leicester City is ready to accept a bid of around £ 15 million (about 14.6 billion naira) for Super Eagles striker and Wolves target Kelechi Iheanacho in the final days of the summer window.
It was also believed Crystal Palace is poised to join the Molineux club in the race for the 26-year-old’s signature, as well as clubs from the Saudi Pro League.
Iheanacho has featured in each of Leicester’s games so far this season, with a well-placed source telling Football Insider he is considering running down his contract and leaving for free in 2024.
The Nigeria international could be persuaded to leave the King Power Stadium if he is presented with a good financial offer before Friday’s (1 September) deadline.
Iheanacho is out of contract in less than 12 months and can negotiate a pre-contract agreement with foreign sides from January.
The ex-Man City man has already managed one goal and two assists in five appearances totalling 293 minutes of action so far this season.
He managed just eight strikes and five assists across 35 appearances in the 2022-23 campaign – his last in the top flight.
