Brazilian superstar, Neymar has selected five players, in his own opinion, who are more technically gifted than himself as he named Lionel Messi, Eden Hazard and Marco Verratti.
Asked to name the players who are more technical than himself, the Paris Saint-Germain forward told Oh My Goal: “More technical than me? I don’t know if I can answer that!
“With all the humility in the world, I consider myself one of the most technical players in football today.”
Reluctantly, he added: “But I would say… Messi, Hazard, De Bruyne, Verratti, I’m still missing one?
De Bruyne and Thiago are among the technically best players in the Premier League, with Neymar clearly a fan.
His picks of Messi, Hazard and Verratti aren’t bad shouts either.
Of course, Neymar played with Messi at Barcelona and are currently teammates at PSG. He’s seen his esteemed club colleague up close and personal and is well aware of how good he is.
Just like Verratti having played alongside the Italian maestro since he joined the French club in 2017. While Neymar hasn’t played with Hazard, he’s come up against the Belgium talent on club and international level.
