Former D’Tigers player and Board Member of Engineer Musa Kida led Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), Osita Nwachukwu, has called on the Federation’s Chairman Caretaker Committee, Musa Kida, to drop his ambition for peace to return to Basketball arena in Nigeria.
Featuring on the BCOS TV sports programme, Saturday Breakfast Sports Show anchored by Boluwaji Ogunmola, the NBBF Board member said the only way to resolve the leadership crisis presently rocking the slamming and dunking game in Nigeria is for remaining factional leader, Musa Kida to honourably drop his ambition, following the withdrawal of his rival, Tijjani Umar.
“The way out of the present crisis facing the game’s Federation in Nigeria is for the two factional leaders to drop their ambitions and let someone else take charge. Since the leader of one of the factions, Tijjani Umar is no longer running, so it’s imperative for the other factional leader to step down. I’m sure this crisis can end today if Musa Kida bows out. That’s the only solution to this problem”, Osita opined.
Meanwhile, the Sports Ministry has summoned Musa-Kida and former NBBF President Tijjani Umar to an emergency meeting scheduled to hold on October 18, 2021 in Abuja.
The aim of the meeting is to find lasting solution to the raging crises rocking the NBBF.
