Newcastle United and Everton are reportedly planning to go head-to-head for the signature of Bayern Munich attacker Thomas Muller.
The 32-year-old now has just 18 months left to run on his existing contract with the Bundesliga champions, and it remains to be seen if he will extend his stay in Bavaria.
Muller has remained an integral part of the Bayern team under Julian Nagelsmann and continues to thrive in his 30s, registering nine goals and 20 assists in 29 appearances across all competitions this term.
However, with his contract due to run out in 2023, Bild journalist Christian Falk reports that Newcastle and Everton are both interested in a deal for the World Cup winner.
Muller may be reluctant to join a club fighting in the bottom half of the Premier League table, though, with the attacker starting all 20 Bundesliga games for leaders Bayern this season.
The 110-cap Germany international has banked 223 goals and 238 assists in 610 games for Bayern across all tournaments, winning 10 Bundesliga titles and two Champions League crowns in that time.
