Nigeria Ambassador to Cameroon, Gen. Gabriel Abayomi Olonisakin (Rtd) has been inducted as a patron of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club.
Decorating the seasoned Ambassador in Garoua, in the Cameroon, the president-General of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Dr. Rafiu Ladipo who described the Ambassador as a lover of sports enjoined the new patron to continue in his love and support for his ‘pastime love’
In his own words, the chairman of the NFSC, Revr. Ambassador Samuel Ikpea who was robustly excited with the Super Eagles performance so far, said that ‘ sir, you deserve this new position of a patron in our club because of your sterling quality and the support you have been given to us since our arrival in Cameroon. You are indeed a good Ambassador worthy to be associated with ‘
The chairman who was optimistic in the Nigeria’s team lifting the cup, promised to visit the Ambassador with his club members with the cup before their departure back to Nigeria.
In his acceptance speech, the new patron who spoke salutary of the NFSC as the foremost Supporters Club in Nigeria, promised to continue in his support for the club and vowed to ensure maximum comfort and security for the club while they stay in the Cameroon.
The NFSC has been in the vanguard in its support for the Nigeria Super Eagles team in the on going AFCON taking place in the Cameroon.
The Super Eagles will be facing Tunisia in the round of 16 in Garoua this Sunday, 23rd January 2022.
