After leading the Amavubi to a well-deserved draw against the Super Eagles of Nigeria, coach Torsten Frank Spittler has hinted about his retirement.

Recall that the Rwandan team held Nigeria to a goalless draw in the second game of the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifier in Kigali.

The German coach’s current deal expires in two months and sources indicate that no talks over extending his stay have happened yet, leaving his future on Amavubi touchline up in the air.

After my contract ends in November, I’ll be heading into retirement,” Spittler jokingly told the press after Rwanda’s goalless draw with Nigeria at Amahoro Stadium on Tuesday.

Spittler, who took charge of Amavubi in November 2023, has transformed Rwanda into a rejuvenated force.
