Remo Stars handed Niger Tornadoes a heavy defeat on day one of the match day 32 of the Nigeria Premier Football League played in Ikenne on Friday.
Striker Sikiru Alimi was the star of the game as he scored twice in the 3-0 win over Tornadoes.
The lanky striker opened the scoring in the 28th minute from the penalty spot before he doubled the lead with the second goal 3 minutes later.
The away side tried to arrest the game in the second half but their all efforts were futile as Ahmed Akinyele added the 3rd goal in the 74th minute and ensured maximum points for the host.
Two matches will be coming up on Saturday while the rest of the games are slated for Sunday and Monday .
