The hammer of the Nigeria Premier League board has eventually fallen on the Heartland FC of Owerri for fan encroachment against Rivers United.
The newly promoted Naze Millionaire hosted the Pride of Rivers at the Okigwe Stadium in the MatchDay 6 of the league.
The game ended 1-1 and the result did not go down well with the fans of the club who decided to encroach on the field which is against the rules of the league board.
After carefully studying the situation, the league board slammed a fine of N1 million on the club for the unruly behavior of their fans.
Heartland FC remained the only club in the league that is yet to secure a win this season.
