Lobi stars of Makurdi have denied the report that Technical Advisor Eddy Dombraye walked out of training due to what was perceived to be an interference from one of the management board.
The Ex Footballer however admitted to have left the training and handed the team to his assistants because he had a family emergency to attend to.
“I don’t have any issues with any of the management staff of the club, I have enjoyed tremendous cooperation since I arrived Makurdi, I did end the training session which is true, but my leaving the arena was unconnected to any form of misunderstanding with anybody, I had to go and attend to a pressing family matter, and had excused myself from training accordingly and handed over to my assistant. I don’t know where such insinuation was coming from, he concluded.”
The statement read:
Contrary to the unverified news making the rounds after Lobi Stars evening training session of Friday September 18, 2021 at the Aper Aku Stadium Makurdi, where The new Head Coach Eddy Lord Dombraye was said to have walked out of training in protest to the overbearing influence of a management member, Lobi Stars media swiftly swung in to action to verify the story.
Speaking to Lobi Stars media, Coach Eddy Lord Dombraye was quoted to have said, ” I don’t have any issues with any of the management staff of the club, I have enjoyed tremendous cooperation since I arrived Makurdi, I did end the training session which is true, but my leaving the arena was unconnected to any form of misunderstanding with anybody, I had to go and attend to a pressing family matter, and had excused myself from training accordingly and handed over to my assistant. Having heard first hand from The Coach and other top management staff, Lobi Stars media can authoritatively confirm that, the whole story was false or a figment of imagination of the reporter and therefore call on Lobi Stars FC fans and the general public to disregard such information as it is too early to bring the hard working and focused Ukraine based UEFA A Licensed Coach in to disrepute.
