It was all smiles at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenogoa on Sunday as host Bayelsa United walloped visiting Abia Warriors 5-1 in a Matchday 12 fixture of the Nigeria Premier Football League.
The host started the game on the front foot as all the goals came in the first half through Robert Mirzo, Alex Jerry, Alex Oyowah brace and Wisdom Nkechi with the away side scoring in between.
In Awka, Lobi Stars held host Rangers International to a 1-1 draw at the Awka City stadium.
It was the away side that scored first through Ani Elijah before Godwin Obaje equalised in the 72nd minute.
Uche Collins netted the only goal of the game as Akwa United defeated Enyimba International 1-0 in Uyo.
Despite a penalty miss by Sikiru Alimi, Shooting Stars bounced back to score a late goal through Joshua Akpan to secure an away win against Kwara United in Akure.
Wikki Tourists defeat Dakkada 3-1 with goal from Chibindu Amah brace and Ibrahim Salisu with Jonathan Prosper scoring Dakkada’s only goal.
