NPFL: Remo Stars Outclass Shooting Stars In Ikenne

One of the tasty South West derbies in the Nigeria Premier Football League went down on Wednesday in Ikenne, Ogun State and it was the host Remo Stars that carried the day at the expense of Shooting Stars.

The game lived up to expectations in the first half with both sides trying to control the game and it was a fiercely contested encounter in front of a capacity crowd.

The first stanza ended in a scoreless affair but the Sky Blue Boys returned for the second half with more determination and their efforts paid off in the 60th minute through an own goal after good footwork by Andy Okpe.

As the Oluyole Warriors were trying to come back into the game, the host doubled the scoreline through Godwin Odibo.

Remo Stars almost score the third goal in the 89th minute but a good effort by Shooting Stars goalkeeper Adeniyi Bamidele save the day as the game ended 2-0.

Remo Stars now has 9 points from 3 games and they are yet to concede this season.
