Shooting Stars head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote has praised the performances of his players in their 2-1 win over Plateau United in a Matchday 1 encounter of the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
The Oluyole Warriors secured the maximum three points on Saturday evening, at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.
While speaking after the encounter, Ogunbote assured that the players will improve on their finishing.
“Before now, we have been crying that we have not been able to score goals but now that we’ve started with two goals, we have to improve on it,” he told the club’s media.
“Be it as it may, it wasn’t a bad one, give it to the team, we can always improve on what we have built.”
